Real advice for stress-free Disney days

Packing Hacks

Smart packing ideas that save space and sanity

  • Portable Charger: Phone batteries die quickly when checking ride times and updating fast passes!

  • Crossbody bag: I find these more comfortable than backpacks and easier to access your items.

  • Filtered water bottles: it's no secret- Florida water isn't great! I love the Brita version- no leaks and filters really well.

  • Sneakers: Seems obvious but no cute flip flops to walk 20k+ steps! Break in those sneakers before the trip!

  • Blister prevention is real. Look into moisture wicking socks and mole skin.

  • Ponchos are great for water rides and afternoon storms. They take up minimal space in the luggage and park bags.

  • Glow sticks! Fun and cheap way to entertain the kids at night. The dollar store usually has a great selection.

  • Snacks: you can bring and surprises from home to beat the park prices. I love these small snack boxes for little hands.

  • Apple air tags are super helpful. Clip to strollers, bags or even your children!

  • Sanitize! sanitize! sanitize! I prefer the spray kind versus the goop but to each their own!

  • Collapsible hamper helps keep laundry messes to a minimum in the hotel room and takes up little space in the suitcase.

  • Over the Door storage: great for kids clothes, toiletries or park essentials. Just hang over bathroom door and voila!

Park Planning

Tips to keep the kids happy

  • I recommend buying Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the parks and book your must do rides first thing in the morning. Think Tiana's, Slinky Dog, Frozen

  • Stack rides for late afternoon when lines are the longest

  • Early entry is key if you're staying on property! Arrive 30-45 minutes before park opening

  • Kids are happier in the morning so go strong in the morning and then take a midday hotel pool break

  • Lines drop off during fireworks and also during the last hour of park opening

  • Snack early and often- a Mickey pretzel or ice cream bar can seriously reset the entire afternoon

  • Utilize mobile food ordering to minimize waiting

  • Water! Water changes moods- check out the splash pad at MK or the Moana exhibit at Epcot

  • Beat the heat with cooling towels or fans

  • Schedule indoor rides and shows during the mid-day heat

  • Highly recommend renting a stroller even for 'kind of' big kids - if they fits, they sits!
